Terms of Service
Welcome to Willoway Psychology. We are committed to providing a safe and professional psychology environment. By engaging in our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. For any questions or concerns regarding these Terms of Service, please contact us at contact@willowaypsychology.com.au
Fees and payment
All appointments are scheduled through the online platform Halaxy. At the time of booking, a deposit of 50% of the total appointment fee is required to secure your appointment. The remaining balance will be required on the morning of your initial assessment appointment. Eligible clients may be able to claim Medicare or private health rebates; however, it is the client's responsibility to confirm their eligibility with the relevant provider.
All fees must be paid in full before a feedback session can be scheduled. Unpaid balances may result in delays in service.
Fees can be found on the practice website at willowaypsychology.com.au/services
Cancellation and non-attendance policy
We recognise that unexpected circumstances can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please email us at contact@willowaypsychology.com.au.
We require a minimum of seven days notice when needing to cancel or reschedule an appointment. For late notice or non-attendance of assessment sessions, the 50% deposit will be forfeited due to the preparation and organisation required for assessments.
Please note that while we do our best to provide appointment reminders via email and text, the client is solely responsible for remembering scheduled appointments.
Confidentiality
As part of the service provided, Willoway Psychology will be required to collect information from you. This information is a necessary part of psychological assessment. All information is collected, used, stored, and disclosed, in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). All personal information gathered during the provision of services will remain confidential except when:
It is subpoenaed by a court, or disclosure is otherwise required or authorised by law
Failure to disclose the information would, in the reasonable belief of the practitioner, place a client or another person at serious risk to life, health or safety
De-identified information is used in the context of professional supervision or peer consultation to ensure duty of care
If you have any further queries, or would like to see a complete copy of the privacy policy, please contact Willoway Psychology at contact@willowaypsychology.com.au
Provision of telehealth services
To engage in telehealth services, you will require an appropriate device, stable internet connection, a speaker and microphone.
Telehealth services are conducted via secure and encrypted platforms. However, as with any online communication, there may be inherent risks. We recommend using private, secure internet connections and maintaining confidentiality by selectively choosing the environments in which you complete appointments.
Crisis support and emergency procedures
Willoway Psychology does not provide crisis intervention services, and we are unable to respond to crisis or emergency situations. Please note that our emails are not monitored outside of business hours. If you are in crisis or experiencing significant distress, we urge you to contact emergency services by dialing 000, reach out to a mental health crisis hotline, or go to the nearest hospital.
Informed consent
By engaging in our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service. You consent to participating in psychological assessment services and acknowledge the confidentiality provisions and their limits. You also acknowledge your responsibilities in attending scheduled appointments and making payments. Psychological assessments are designed to provide professional insights and recommendations based on the information available at the time of assessment. However, assessments are limited by the data provided, and while we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or conclusions.
Willoway Psychology reserves the right to update these terms as necessary. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
